Putting Your Home On The Market?

Don’t leave the sale up to chance.

Rather than sticking your head in the sand and hoping for the best, take the bull by the horns and control the outcome by doing a Pre-Listing Inspection to find out what will come up in advance.

Don't hope that an inspector won’t find the problem you've been avoiding for months. Inspectors are trained to look at everything in your home. They will find what is wrong with your house and you will have to deal with it.  Avoid potential issues and take measures to insure the sale of your property goes smoothing by doing a Pre-Listing Inspection.

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you put your house on the market:

1) Find out about the big stuff and make a plan.

Big stuff can either be fixed, disclosed or credited.

2) Hire a handyman to bang out the small stuff.

When a buyer finds problems they often think worst case and want top dollar credit for repairs. Why give the buyer ammunition.

3) Plan negotiation arguments in advance rather than under a deadline.

After the buyers inspection you will only have a few days to decide what to do.

4) Control the conversation.

Get repairs done in advance the way you want, using your contractors and within your budget.

5) A clean house with few problems sells faster and for more money.

No one wants to wait 6 months for a contract and deal with low ball offers.
